EDT’s International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM) is an inspection and accreditation process that helps international school leaders move beyond compliance to embed lasting improvement in their schools.
When your school is awarded with ISQM accreditation, this demonstrates that it has shown high standards of student achievement, an effective curriculum and use of resources, a successful leadership team, and strong partnerships with parents and the community. But it doesn’t end there: ISQM provides continued advice and support beyond inspection, helping you to make sustained improvements over time.
ISQM accreditation gives parents and the community confidence that your school has been judged by independent evaluators to meet rigorous quality standards.
We do not just accredit your school and disappear, but instead offer continued advice and support, helping your school to build on its strengths and address areas for improvement.
We offer excellent value for money through our continuous support and the quality of our team.
We have long experience in international education contexts, including supporting high-quality and sustainable school improvement.
Complete registration papers and pay the registration fee. Your registration papers will be reviewed by EDT’s Accreditation Board.
Once your school is accepted for accreditation, you will be allocated a consultant, who will make an initial visit to your school. Your consultant will explain the accreditation process in full, and on completion of the visit, submit a short report to your school.
You will conduct a self-review of your school, with regular support and advice from your consultant. This should be done over at least one year, or two in most cases. When your consultant signs off your self-review, your school is ready to be accredited.
Our inspection team visits your school to verify your self-review. This visit includes interviews with staff, students, and parents, as well as lesson observations and sampling of students’ work. After the visit, you will receive a written report. If your school meets the standards for accreditation, you will also receive the International Schools Quality Mark.
