Our Early Grade Reading and Mathematics programme (EGRAM) in Sierra Leone aims to develop the capacity of teachers to improve reading and mathematics skills among children in primary Grades 1-3.

Through our Building Learning Foundations (BLF) programme, we worked with the Rwandan Ministry of Education, Rwanda Basic Education Board and National Inspection Authority to strengthen Rwanda’s education system.

Through the Alexandria Schools Trust, we build upon the existing skillsets of teachers of refugees and school leaders in the use of English as a medium of instruction, to help ensure high-quality teaching for refugee students.

Our experts are key to developing high-impact teaching methods and effective teacher professional development to improve both learning outcomes and teacher retention.

We have been working on at-scale education reform for nearly 40 years, both as researchers investigating powerful international case studies of successful school reform, and as practitioners working in partnership with Ministries of Education to deliver school improvement at scale in jurisdictions from Brunei Darussalam to England, Dubai, and Rwanda.

We know that effective use of edtech can enable and enhance the work that we do. We adopt an ‘education-led, tech-enabled' approach, which ensure that the way we use technology in the design and delivery of our programmes enhances – rather than diminishes – impact and value for money.
