Overview

The Cornwall Youth Engagement Programme (Yep!) is now closed and we are unable to accept any new registrations for it.

We worked with young people in one-to-one appointments to help explore their options or achieve specific goals.

Our personalised support meant ensuring people could build the skills and experience needed to find the right path for them.

We worked with local charities and employers to access a variety of activities like volunteering and work experience for participants.

Key points

What we helped with

  • Exploring work and training options
  • Building confidence
  • Skills development
  • Finding local work experience or volunteering opportunities
  • Creating a CV
  • Applying for jobs
  • Practicing for interviews

We also had a flexible fund that we accessed to purchase things that could help people gain and keep employment, such as interview clothes or tools.
